The exhibit, called "Higher Nature - Wider Views; Bert L. Call, Poetic Observer," was first created in 1991 and displayed at three locations. The original exhibit was a joint project of the Dexter Historical Society and the University of Maine Fogler Library.

The show comprises 75 photographic prints made by Bert L. Call and developed at the Call Studio in Dexter during the time period 1915-1940. The majority of the prints being exhibited are originals.

Also on exhibit will be original hand colored photographic prints in frames which were done at the Call Studio and sold in the gift shop.
