The topic of the second meeting, of the Dexter Historical Society’s Discussion Series, will be the Bowlaway. This bowling alley opened on February 10, 1940. Joseph Mountain, Jr. was the proprietor of the newly renovated building that had been the Roseland Ballroom (and skating rink) and is now Tillson’s warehouse. Many years of bowling fun, as well as the nurturing of championship bowlers, was experienced within those walls. The meeting will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 23 in the Abbott Museum.
