This volunteer committee is dedicated to the preservation of the quilt heritage of our state through documentation of Maine quilts and quilters.

On Quilt Documentation Day quilts made before 1960 are examined, recorded and photographed for historical purposes.

The public is invited to bring any quilts they wish to have recorded to the Abbott Museum, 12 Church St., Dexter on Sunday, September 24, 2006 from 10 to 1.
