"Henry Glass came to Dexter in 1839. He was a plain-spoken, honest-hearted, whole-souled man, fearful of nothing but sin; always ready to help in any good cause; never hesitating to rebuke unrighteousness. He was dearly beloved by his church associates, and honored by them as their Steward, Trustee, Class Leader and Treasurer. He died on the 13th of June, 1890. Leaving no children he willed his property to the church he loved."
